OLIVE ZAATAR BREAD

OLIVE ZAATAR BREAD

There's always something comforting about baking bread.

People say its always good to be "breaking bread" but I like to bake it and share. There's something about cooking food and sharing it with good company.

CHOCOLATE SWEET POTATO LOAF

CHOCOLATE SWEET POTATO LOAF

Notice that moment before you fall over the edge. By recognizing that, you can use the tools you have to recenter yourself and let all the light in your life shine and led the dark fade away.

It's definitely been a non-stop week. A week where I felt I was heading toward burn-out, which of course resulted in waking up with a cold/allergy reaction yesterday morning.

COCONUT MANGO SUNRISE (BATCH COCKTAIL)

It's finally starting to warm up in NYC and there's nothing more than enjoying a good cocktail and some popcorn in the sun.

BUFFALO TURKEY MEATBALLS

BUFFALO TURKEY MEATBALLS

These are definitely on repeat in my meal prep rotation.

I used to hate making meatballs or burgers, but once I found my groove, I loved how versatile they can be- whether with flavors or how your serve them.

WE'VE GOT THE BEET, MARGARITA

WE'VE GOT THE BEET, MARGARITA

It's finally starting to feel like spring in New York- maybe?

When its warm out and sunny long after work gets out, instead of having a warm and cozy dinner, a fresh margarita and some guac always sounds right. I mean who doesn't love a margarita with guac?

ORANGE CHOCOLATE SABLES

ORANGE CHOCOLATE SABLES

May the space between where I AM and where I WANT TO BE inspire me.

No situation you are in is permanent-it's not the end all be all. Though we get wrapped up in the moment or thinking about what could be, we forget we have the power to change.

TOASTED COCONUT PEANUT SPREAD

TOASTED COCONUT PEANUT SPREAD

I'm writing this as I'm chugging my homemade kombucha, watching real housewives, and trying to fight my sleepiness away.

Sleep- it's a funny thing. I've been working on a presentation at work about the importance of sleep and ways to step yourself up for a better's night rest.

MISO TAHINI SALAD DRESSING

MISO TAHINI SALAD DRESSING

It ain't easy being green.

While this week at work I wrote about the contrary of how there are easy ways to go green (in reference to being eco-friendly at work and the office), but sometimes accepting your green-ness, or in this case, a golden-hue, can be hard.

THE PERSEPHONE

THE PERSEPHONE

Anxiety is contagious, but so is calm

I've decided to start exploring meditation and mantras. While sometimes the day to day can be tough, I think it's important to focus on the aspects of your life that bring you the most joy. For me, its's spending time with pup, cookie, monster, and my kitchen.

ADAPTOGENIC HOT COCOA MIX

ADAPTOGENIC HOT COCOA MIX

It's been unbearably cold in the city- and by that, I mean freezing toes, no heat in the office for 2 days, and full on flannel pajama wearing all day.

I always crave hot cocoa on chilly days. While I've come a long way from the overly processed packets I religiously drank in high school and college (still makes a great mocha combo with instant espresso!), I wanted to make a healthier alternative that I felt good about drinking and could also sneak as a better option for the cookie monster.
